The same happenned to me but... im not sure if I did it wrong and it could be that I clicked demolish instead of make it bigger.

This isn't a bug. Here's a recent thread in Suggestions that deals with the same thing:

Not a bug, but I think it would be fair to suggest that the design is confusing, given the number of reports of mistaken downgrades. The BBs have been made aware of the issue, if they weren't already.
