My Fellow Americans,
I am here today to ask for you to vote for me for U21 manager. I love the USA NT program and am very excited for our future prospects over the next couple of season. I would just like to thank EBW for the amazing job he has done over last four seasons. He had an incredible stretch of 4 golds in 4 seasons, maybe the best managerial run in U21 history.
I have been very active at the USA Offsite for the last two years. I have been involved with the U21 program as a domestic scout since Season 24. This last season I helped with the scouting of 22-23 for the NT. I have followed and participated in U21 and NT game planning and discussion. This season I also kind of became in charge of opponent scouting for the NT. I am a huge training nerd. I wrote a great guide to elastic training for guards on the offsite. I love talking about builds and training plans. I can’t wait to mold our next 2 U21 classes!
As U21 manager, I will strive to do the following things:
Scouting: There was not really any scouting done on the U21 level last year. I think that scouting is the most important aspect of a U21 program. As U21 manager, I will help recreate the U21 scouting system that is easy to implement and transferable to the next U21 manager. With the problems and outages in recent months of the offsite database and tools, the next U21 manager might have to be able to run a U21 scouting program without the luxury of the offsite scouting database. I have the tools, savvy, and experience to have the scouting program ready to go the minute I am elected whether or not the NT Database working or not. I also plan to try to improve the scouting program so that our domestic scouts have more information such skills and possible u21 training plans for each potential u21 prospect, so they can focus on mentoring the manager of the prospect rather than just messaging for skill updates.
Mentorship: I would like to begin to shift our focus with the scouting program from training U21 players to training the lower division USA managers that wind up drafting with those players. Its no secret that BB’s numbers are decreasing. Without the offsite and the great managers who have mentored me, I probably would have quit a BB a long time ago. We need to act in order to get new managers active and involved with the NT program and the offsite or our numbers will be begin to fall as well. We need to teach new managers how to play BB. If we can decrease the BB learning curve and get new USA managers excited about the U21 and NT program, then we will not only be able to get a great U21 player trained but also a manager who will want to train future U21/NT players and be involved and active on the offsite.
GS Lottery: GS wins and loses games in BB. In order to promote good minute management, I will put all USA U21 managers in a GS lottery. Every game that your guy plays in 9 GS for the U21 team, you get one lottery ticket. The more games your guy is in 9 GS, the more chances you have to win the lottery. Winner gets a supporter subscription.
Some of this will take a lot of hard work and multiple seasons of planning and implementation, but its work I am willing and capable of doing. In the end, winning this election is not all that important to me. I am a team player and in end I just want to see the U21 and NT program achieve the best possible success. I hope you vote for the candidate that you think will be the best manager.
I call on you now to cast your vote (preferably for me), join the offsite, and help me (or some other guy/gal) scout and mentor the next class of USA U21 players and managers! Please feel free to ask me anything in the debate thread.
