Tonight's playoff game was marred by a flagrant foul. The player who was fouled left injured, while the assailant was allowed to finish the game.
This really hurt my team. The injured player doesn't have a history of injuries. He has played the 2nd most games in the history of my club. Since he has good stamina and rarely gets injured, his substitute is an afterthought. It resulted in a real disadvantage for my team down the stretch. While the other team may well have won, my player being injured gave me little chance of winning.
The fact is that Flagrant fouls often benefit the team that commits them The assailant is rarely ejected. The victim is often injured. And the extra possession never makes up for the loss of the player. This should really be changed so that the assailant is ejected when a player is injured. It would at least even things up.
If it were a regular season game, it wouldn't bother me. But since playoff games are one and done, this "random" event is too powerful. Please fix this in the future.
