Friars Get Lucky in NT Thriller vs. Bulls

(137549852) against an underdog opponent, the Friars held off a determined Sepolia Bulls team
(278735) to stay alive in the NT tournament 120-115, in a game whose final score was in no way indicative of the run of play. The Bulls out-hustled the Friars in every quarter, and won three and three-fourths quarters on the scoreboard. They looked certain to send the Friar’s faithful home disappointed, when some last minute three-point shooting saved the Friars from defeat, if not their coach.
A visibly irritated Friar’s coach told reporters that practice sessions going forward will consist of free throw shooting, running for each miss, and one on one rebounding drills during the breaks. Coach didn’t take many questions, highlighting a monologue by vowing that players will hit their free throws or enjoy the game from the comfort of the team bench.
