Can we discuss about the 3-2 Zone glitch. OD is the only factor for preventing open shots, which is very
unrealistic. So teams train mostly OD to get many defended shots -> many SB.
Why ID doesn't count especially for inside shots? Taking ID into account for preventing assists will make 3-2 weaker and upvalue 2-3. This would kill two birds with one stone.
Poll:  Take ID into account for preventing open shots, especially for inside shots.

And I’m curious how you know that the current game engine works as "OD is the only factor for preventing open shots"?

Every shot has a team OD rating applied to it, in various degrees. We are currently modifying that and other factors to make the GE more balanced. The new GE should reflect that.

Team defense ratings affect all shots.
From the answers in the two Q&As, I think OD is not necessarily the only factor preventing open shots

you are talking about defending open shots. I am talking about PREVENTING them.
For defending defense matchup is the main factor, team defense counts only a bit.
But for the decision open vs defended OD seems to be the main factor.
And it makes no sense in may eyes if we are talking about inside shots.

Would this make the 1-3-1 zone too weak?
Also, compared to regular inside players, defensive-specialist big men would actually be affected the least (in defense). Wouldn’t that make the gap between the two even bigger?

yeah, 1-3-1 is still too weak. So we can upvalue it in another way (more OD boost, less rebounding penalty).
