And I wasn't being critical of that approach. Small steps would be great. It's a worldwide game, so I can't expect to understand everyone's approach.

My take on this would be that the minimum roster size should be 7 players. If a team has a 5 man roster, there's a chance 1 or 2 of them get injured, and then you're down to 3 players anyway. However, if a team with 7 players has 2 injuries, they'd still have 5 players.

I have used empty slots to my advantage in the past, but I agree. They allow managers to ignore an aspect of the game.
