Pretty simple

I had to sell a player who was an All star the last 4 seasons just to keep from going into debt.

Because of that, I'm playing a guy at SF who is a pretty good back up player, but not a good starter. Which means I'm going to lose a lot of games that I probably would have won last season.

This league is brutal. You'll figure that out. Instead of contending for promotion, I'll be struggling to stay in the league.

I'm not looking to contend but I'm 3-0 so far (small sample size) and my net income isn't that much smaller than it was in D4

What a wild Saturday of action! Cal Crows and Doctors of WI take the lead in the two conferences in very different ways.

Crows puts up a mighty defensive showing to cruise against DDII, while Doctors of WI ekes out a 4th quarter comeback away wins against TC.

Speaking of tight wins, Wayne County Superchargers gets the away win against Duke Devilz, who had a shot to tie it and take it to overtime with 1 second to go.

In the big 8, the other California team and Swamp Things protect their home court, with the only away win coming in the Snow Blizzards drubbing of the bot team.

Elsewhere a surprising, but unsuccessful, CT by Indiana Slumpbusters.

My own team, Black Light, fails to come back from the first quarter 20-point punch we received from Anchorage -- fueled by their incredibly effective FCP.

I... did not need a 2 week injury to my best big man in a season where each win is gonna be crucial to stay up

Better now than in the first round of the playoffs

Spoken from experience...

If they would only let me lend one to you, then I would send one over. The least I could do. Lol.

I hear ya, though actually given my goals this season, this is gonna be a crucial stretch, and actually that home (for me) game against you in 10 days or so is gonna be the first game where this is absence is likely to hurt

Haha ♥️

It's ok. I ultimately like injuries being in the game because they reward contingency planning, which I enjoy.

But man when the BB gods decide to put their thumb on the scale and f*** with you it doesn't feel good

They have certainly tried to make tweaks to reward having more depth outside of the starting five for most teams, which was probably needed.

No, it does not. They sure did a number on my training plans and weekly minutes in my cup game. I was just curious about what type of in game injury causes a 1 week stomach bug. I am left imagining some player dunking a burrito down Horton's spacious gullet.

Crazy how the entire Big 8, except for one team, has a positive point differential.

Yeah and that team is a bot

It happens sometimes. Probably won't last. There are a couple teams there that can do some damage.

The season really doesn't start until the 2nd time through. At that point, we've all played each other and most are out of the cup. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.
