A Legend Reborn

Ruben Ramos could not hold back the tears at the announcement that two new franchises were born on the ashes of what used to be the Lake Merritt Arrows franchise. The new franchises would compete respectively in the USA league and in the Utopia league.
Ramos, himself a hall of famer and star in the franchise's four NBBA titles, was appointed general manager of Black Light -- the group's USA-based team. The Utopian team was assigned to two other former legends, big men Agaliotis and Nielsen. Thanks to generous sponsoring from the Capitol Hill Historic Foundation, the Utopian team obtained the rights to the "Arrows" franchise name, and will continue on that legacy.
