I agree, the BBs have probably thought it over, and they just want to hear our thoughts.

I just read through all these comments, and a few things seem like misconceptions among those opposing the idea:

1. The purpose of this is to raise money to keep BB alive and help make it better and more appealing, and that's a win for everyone. As it is, too small a number of owners pay anything at all (frankly, I played several seasons before buying Supporter, and I felt kinda guilty about it). But think about how hard it is to get people to pay if you can't give them any game advantage. And if more people don't start paying something, then the game might fold.

So think about this logically, please. The second team does not get you any advantage for your first team on the court. It just makes you more attached to the survival of the game and more likely to purchase Supporter and contribute to its success.

Anyone who doesn't ever want to pay but wants to get all the extras too isn't a very valuable customer. And if you really think it's giving an advantage for some reason, then you should buy Supporter and get the advantage you think is there, too. Businesses don't survive by letting non-paying customers make decisions. Free trials usually don't last indefinitely, so the business model here is pretty kind to a great many players.

2. I see mentions of people taking their second team in a nation like the USA, but my understanding of the idea indicates that second teams would go in smaller nations with an insufficient number of users to fill their top divisions. I don't see any reason why you would put second teams in big nations with large active user bases. I would imagine only the nations with smaller numbers of users would be eligible at all.

3. If I were one of the small number of active owners in a micronation, I think I'd be happy to get some added competition and make things like playoff victories meaningful and relegation a real possibility. It would also improve the NT/U21 in those countries significantly to have owners training native players, and of course those teams should still be managed by their home countries. With real competition in those countries, the interest level should go up and you wouldn't need to add more second teams there any more after a while.

Plus, people who pay for a second team are most likely going to do it with the goal of helping the game succeed. Paying to sabotage another country just seems like a very silly reason to spend money.

4. People with investments in the game are much less likely to cheat, because they have something much more to lose if they get caught. There's not much disincentive to cheat when it's free anyway. But if you suddenly are forking out $60 to run your teams, you'd probably think twice before doing anything that would get you banned.

5. Why do people keep suggesting creating new nations for second teams? There are bots all over in first and second divisions. Why create more nations when we can't fill the ones we have at even the highest levels?

I'm not shure if my idea was mentioned before, but i would like to have some kind of a D-League like in the NBA !

Every team could have a second team which plays in a separate league which is connected to the league the first team plays in. When the first team changes the league, the second team would change the league as well into the D-league of the new league of the first team.

Another possibility would be to create a new league system for this teams which be filled up with supporterteams so we could reduce the problem of Bot teams in this leagues.

I voted yes.
It would give me the chance to try out an entirely new strategy without blowing up my current team.
I've always thought it would be fun to have a true homegrown team. It will take awhile before they are good at all, but it would be fun to have the challenge of grooming what you are given (off the bat and in the drafts) into as formidable a team as possible.

Voted yes and totally agree with this post. When I heard about possibility of 2nd team for supporters I thought about new strategy of development for my 2nd team. And there will be less responsibility for result but more fun. Also I would like to grow players for NT, in country that my 2nd team represents.

I doubt that many users want to have 2nd team in micronation, as was said here before. As for me, I prefer to have 2nd team in Czech Rep. I love this country, cities and culture, I was there 3 times as a tourist and always want to go back there when I have such opportunity. But I think many people want to have their 2nd teams in macronations, for exsample, in USA because of popularity of American basketball. Or in Spain and Italy because of more users to compete.

Generally, I think it's a great opportunity to avoid boredom in this game and to increase number of supporters.

Also, poll is not very fair. Those people who will never pay for supporter (even if great changes happen) will always answer "no".

You've your idea, and i respect, but do you now it's not a must to activate 2nd team? Just only a choice? You're free guy.

Also to not activate the second time. If it will be available.

this discussion is about 2nd team, not about "what do you think is the right feature to have best number of supporters?".

I think there is a right space where you can discuss about other suggestion than this.

This topic will be so long, and it will be difficult to follow every think/idea, if 10 consecutive posts are about something different, it generates confusion and free off topic.

I'm not against it, but just try to mantain a certain order.


After it: I'm discussing about advantage of "more matches" for supporters.
1) Do you really think you can copy exactly your roster? Because if i want an experiment, i have to made the same with all the situation. And it's senseless experiment the functioning of LI with an 800k Salary roster when with the other team i can afford only 300k wage or vice versa. And this is the normal situation.
2)Do you know you can use the same amount of the match to "scout" and experiment things? I've an User in my league, no supporter, who simply watching my matches and reports, can define the skillset of a player. And he has from 80 to 95% chances to guess it. So it's not properly a "guess". I did that "game" last time on Saturday matches, he define my C Skillset with only 1 big error, OD, where he gave +3 than real value. Except this, he describes the skillset with only 2 (1 value) skill error.

To play against others 2nd teams isn't a choice.

For sure, but sorry, probably i forget something, but i don't see the negative in it.
If he plays smart, it's an interesting opponent. Should be a good thing, isn't it? Or you like to be promoted/win just because you have no opponent?

If he plays wrong/as a farm.... Nothing change. Or not?
