I agree that inside skills are important to keep the salary of a player down and to make the player better as a 2 way player. However, this is only the way to start if you are not worried about winning games.

If you need to win some games while doing training, i might suggest you start OD. I'm assuming D.III in portugal is close to equal to D.IV in the US. So i would want to get one guy to 11 OD and the other to 9. Prioritizing OD over 1v1 this season AND prioritizing it for the first 5 weeks next season in the process. It shouldn't make either much more expensive by the time we roll seasons over, and would make it easier for you to train and survive in your relegation matchup. It takes a long time i know, but it's worth it.

OD, IS, and ID would be my priority order, getting IS up first should help ID gains.

OD to 9, ID shortly there after. with IS being 4 ahead, he should get his first pop almost immediately. I'd want to get him to 4 short term, 6-7 long term. the first few pops in secondaries are the biggest difference in shooting percentage i feel.

Thx for the answer, what is the best method for training combination of OD/PA, to change training from one to another after every rise in skill, or to train first OD to some level and then PA or the other way around?

I would rotate the training every time your player pops. After his OD gets to proficient, and his PA is at least strong, then I would move to his other guard skills.

While I am working on my Top SF (all skills in double digits and right now 130 skillpoints) I got a decent player in last seasons draft

Jakob Thaler (28838700)

Age: 18
Height: 6'10" / 208 cm

Jump Shot: average Jump Range: strong

Inside Shot: average Inside Def.: strong ↑

More Potential would have been nice, still he will make quite a decent PF in the Future (at least after I work on his rebound)

He was originally labelled a PF (and that's where I play him due to him being a defensive liability on the perimeter), but I've been training his secondaries this season and now BB is calling him a point guard. It seems best to turn him into a SF, though, his OD and IS being the biggest hurdles at the moment. Thoughts?

To start off, that is a good trainee. When a player is listed at a position, it doesn't mean that they have to play at that position.

I would train his OD to proficient, then depending on what position you want him to play, train his is to strong (SG/SF), prominent (SF/PF), and if you decide to go the PF route, train his REB to prominent as well.
