I'm against this entire idea for a few reasons.
1. This sounds better than how they are doing the 2nd team for supporters... and since the supporters are paying money (which helps keep the site up and running functionally) they should have the better option.
2. If you're doing things right 1 team is plenty already.
3. This implies to me that Buzzer Beater is "the NBA" players go from college, to get to here... Last time I checked, there aren't divisions etc in the NBA. I always thought of buzzerbeater as more for the basketball players good enough to play professionally, but not good enough really to play NBA.
IE: Chris Singletary, Hamin Quintance, John Edwards (after he left NBA for lack of talent), Eric Haut, etc. Josh Childress (another NBA career gone fail), you know... the guys whom play in europe and asia etc. or never make it out of the D-League
4. For a non-supporter feature, this would take an incredible amount of time, effort, energy, bandwidth, server strength, etc... that would recquire more capital, so it may end up screwing supporters to pay more for a feature they don't get
5. Why should non-supporters be entitled to special features and such if they cannot/are not willing, to pay for supporter. 39.99 is less than $4 a month. That's less than a magazine subscription, that's less than Netflix, that's similar to an X-Box live account. Not very expensive. You could LITERALLY work 1 hour a month at burger king, and afford that.
