Well remember, this problem affects all players during the offseason. So the 25yo someone just bought could turn out to be 26. It's probably even more difficult to tell their real age when they aren't 18 (where DMI=0)

I am fairly new to the game too sir... but Ages 20 and above are not really confusing... simply because they already exist in the game database and expected to grow old after Season Update... It is the New Players coming from the Draft that currently gave us the confusion sir...

-edit-
Coz Draftees... are registered with an age that will remain the same after the Season Update.... they will merge with the existing players... and those whit other 18 and 19 y/o that are already in-game and expected to grow old...

Yep, I absolutely do and I see no reason to be ashamed of it. I have never listed an 18 yo player of mine at that time of the season but I do not blame people who take advantage. That's the nature of competitiveness.

I believe most managers don't even take this "opportunity" into account when listing their players, they probably just want to sell them early to get fresh funds for the new draftees. As to the "tricking" part - no-one's forcing anyone to buy, it's actually quite simple to make sure of the age of the player in a number of ways before you bid.

Yet, I do recognize the issue and how it could be troublesome, especially for not so experienced managers and I actually suggested possible solutions.

Cheers

It's all good, no worries.

We share the same disposition after all - addressing this will be good for BB as a whole.

or put an additional layer of label notifying that the player is a new arrival which will last until the Season Update or the existing Players in-game grew old

My preference would be something like this on the TL search and then maybe a logo on the corner of the player image on the players page, like the ones a player has when he is on U21 or NT. Simple and noticeable.

Surely when you purchase a player in this GAME it's a simple case of buyer beware? Not everyone who lists a young player at that time is trying to rip anyone off - I'll take you on your word that some do, but fair dinkum, it's not a hard thing to check. I think the game has bigger issues for the GMs to work on.
