...this notion of losing identity has been mainly used as a cover up for "I don't want to play with Ys ever and no circumstances") even though most of the ideas here are based on retaining the flag and nationality of players.
Exactly, this would be no problem if we merge leagues, but keep the flag, NTs and the national forums. This solution sounds like it needs more programming, but it is obviously the one that has a broad appeal. I don't care if I end up in a lower division, as long as I get to play some real teams.

I am glad BB is looking into possible solutions, and that they let users air their opinion. Keep in mind that the user numbers are dropping, in micronations mainly because there is a lack of competition and challenge. Something needs to be done. If it is at all possible to create new leagues with mixed micronations, that is the choice that changes the least about the community, and it creates an enviroment for balance.

The number of managers in each league should allow both further decline for a while, but also growth, since I think by doing this it will once again be fun to play with a micronation team (in a mixed league).

The tournament should also be within those mixed leagues, so every team in each mixed league gets the same amount of tournament games.

Well that is your opinion. I respect that, while I don't agree with you.

Iran community I think is working just fine and I believe that we should not be included in the merge.

Well like I said, I can't speak for sure about these countries with so few users.

I do open with saying that I'm still completely against the merge, but a common league seems like the reasonable way to go if a merge were to happen, of course on the condition that NT, U21 and flags stay untouched. But then again, how would this work ? What about the national tournament ?

Also I'd like to point out that with a common league, there would be a common draft. We have so little high potential players as it is, the way that players names and flag will be generated when they get drafted to their respective teams won't work. This will lower the NT competitions even more I think

I talked about a common league in my previous post.

If merges were to happen regionally, Middle East would have much fewer users compared to other regions and this wouldn't work.

We do have and Arabic based religion, but most people's knowledge of Arabic here is at best primitive and basic. English is better overall, but that too won't work well.

And I assure you that nobody in here knows Russian

Well, if somebody ask me, why do you play in Buzzerbeater? I'll answer: identity. I enjoy being the first on my country who get some achievements: Cups, Leagues, NT goals. Against the thoughts of many can be difficult to stay in the top for a long time. But, the best thing is to train a player for your NT. I can't describe you what means see your player in the National Team.

But, can I feel it again in a merge country? The honest answer is "maybe". But, I don't think that the users of micro nations (like I am) want to lose their identity. So, we can begin the fusion without lose our flags, and trying to create the leagues keeping in mind the nationality of the users and not just randomly. Only when you get the high level you will face foreign opponents

In that order, the National Page can show wich is the Best Team in Cup and wich one is ubicated in the most high league. Long time ago, when I used to play Hattrick (I hate to make this comparison) used to exist some regions inside nations. My idea is something like that.

I repeat... why is this merging-countries idea necessary for BB? I can't even see it!

Probably because you play in Spain, the 2nd largest country in BB. Anyway...

Since it's inevitable that the topic of groupings will continuously pop up, here's what we're thinking at the current time:

Little Europe
Luxembourg
Andorra
Austria
Malta
Cyprus

Sorry, but this is not an answer to the question!

What is your goal, why is this necessary, which problems do you want to fix with new groupings like this (just an example) ... ?
... please give me one good reason ... and maybe a view more ;-)

The idea is to increase competitiveness. If I were a new user in a community of less than 40-50 managers I would probably get very bored quite quickly. Even in Romania, where we have ~160 users, some third leagues have 1-3 active managers, is it really worth to do anything else than tank/farm in those conditions?

I think some sort of resolution to this issue has to happen from a competitive stand point. Not from the "you get bored" standpoint but for global competitiveness. Tanking out of a league and rebuilding happens. I am currently rebuilding. However, I do not get to stay in our top league season after season under the salary floor while I do it. I get one season of increased revenue stashing and then down I go. My rebuild would certainly be infinitely faster if I could stay in the top league to do it.

The ratio of top division managers to users is out of whack and too much money is put into the game with very few avenues to remove it. There has to be a form of consolidation that keeps the user's flag, but the current format is just wonky. It's like 20% of the global community is playing a completely different game. There shouldn't be any less pride in developing a player with one's own flag to represent your continental competition team. I liked the earlier mentioned continental idea and even the "superduper league". The relegation process could be worked out for that.
