I think you could stay in this league with your current roster especially with them developing into better players throughout the season. I made the mistake of getting a high priced center last year and it was honestly a waste of nearly 100k every week before i decided to go back to focusing on my homegrown players. They may not be the best but they certainly get the job done you know. Im not expecting to win the league either anyway

Planned losses for Focused wins. I already know im going to lose some and others might be close so i try to prioritize which games i put more into versus those i dont put anything into. Last game for example, even my starters were probably gonna lose so i went with all back ups and TIE to avoid risk of my starters getting hurt in a probable loss and wasting enthusiasm. My goal is returning to the playoffs. Dont need to be the number one seed but make the playoffs and hopefully progress to the semis. PL for FW might be enough for you hang in here you know. You have what looks like a solid enough roster and only you know if some of your players are better then what there salaries suggest. Either way, goodluck...except against me of course lol

I would also suggest to pay attention to your team's game shape. Having poor game shape really hinders the potential of your team. Make sure everyone on your team is playing the appropriate minutes each week.

Ballachamps might be able to fight for a spot in this conference going into next season with BucsBlue out.

Anybody have any thoughts on the season as we head into the midway point?

I'm honestly surprised I have had the success I have had. I was expecting to have to make a big acquisition at this point to just stay out of the relegation belt.

But it also kind of scares me that the Comets are still in the cup sitting at 6th on the league table. It makes me feel that they are focusing all attention on those games and once eliminated, they are going to turn it on and surge through the standings

Yeah be careful of that, thats literally what i did last season with the cup and made it deep. Then i shifted focus and made the playoffs as the 4th seed. I screwed myself in the cup this year. Your experience is more or less what i experienced when i first got here too, i made to two pick ups and ultimately cut one because my team was actually playing worse with him despite his huge salary. Turns out i was more D3 ready then i thought and your pretty much in the same place. Glad to have you here though

It's a little surprising how wide open the league seems this season. Our strong teams aren't as strong and our weaker teams aren't as weak (as compared to last season anyway). I'm not sure the direction I want to go with my team the rest of the year.

I got a pretty decent cup draw this year, so pretty pumped about that. Never made it to the all star week before.

It looks like it is Mamaluigi5's championship to lose (at least in the Great 8). Only one team has even kept it within 10 points. My team is better than my 35 point loss earlier in the season, but I think the gap is just too big. Anything can happen, but the team is too strong, especially with HCA. It's hard for me seeing anyone beating The Phantom Thieves.

To the teams still in the Cup tournament, good luck. I hope you both get as deep as you can. Wish i was still in it myself.

As for this conference, yeah its definitely been wide open for 2nd on down. The Phantom Thieves are on a different level, i didnt even bother trying to win that one. I made the mistake of going all in in trying to beat the top team last season and the end result was a Triple OT lost that screwed us both. Barring a couple players getting injured at the same time, i dont see anyone else getting past Phantom this season.

It'll be interesting seeing how the last stretch plays out because somebodies gonna make some player moves to contend at the last moment as always
