Virgil Villarreal was the first League MVP representing Detroit. That was forever ago during a different era that eventually resulted in league champions and division promotion.
Harvey Huston is spear heading another great, albeit frustrating era of Detroit basketball. As the leading Guard he sprinted towards his first ever League MVP award, his latest accolade amongst a strong resume so far.
With plenty of seasons left under the belt, This season Needs to be Thee season that he leads Detroit to a championship like Virgil V before him. To come so close and fall just short is heartbreaking but its a new season and the trails still on fire.
