I fully scouted last draft, There were 3 5/5A+ and 1 5/5/A-

There were 5 5/4/A+ and 8 5/4Aor A-

I got one of the 5/5 and 2 5/4. Not one draftee made my squad. I sold the 5/5 for 2k and had to cut the other 2 because my overextension tax was already killing me.

The 5/5 i did get was a 19 yr old MVP with 3800 salary. I thought 5/5 19yr olds were 4500k+ but apparently not.

I took my scouting from 10k to 5k and I only scout every 3-4 years. The random approach seems to work out every couple seasons.

"This league is CRAZY tough. Maybe I ought to sell off my older guys, go down a division and train up some young talent."

Right! but that's what I'm trying to avoid. Kind of the weak way to go up. But seriously. We never get the weak D2 demotee that is done with the game, we get the ones that reset and want to go back up. Along with the 5-8 other competitive teams in the league, we are lucky when we can get two promotions out (22-0 record and upset in the finals promotee). So we just keep reloading.

I don't want to be the tool that does drop down, and its a 3 season process to get back up. (tank, d4 promote, d3 reload) which makes it very time consuming.

What about Chicago Bulls JG?? He should be winning the Big 8 but instead he is a bot.

BTW did you just call me a tool?

Never did like the staff salary system in this game. If my employer gave me a raise every week I would expect to be let go within a year of being hired. Not at all realistic.

yes, every now and then I spend 5k per week, and have some "fun" with the draft. but otherwise I just get what I get.

Yes, the draft SHOULD be a fun part of the game....but it is more of a money pit than anything else, in my experience.

OMG, dont get me started on that. The coaches skill should diminish over time, NOT have his salary go up each season. I would be OK with an increase in salary based on place the team is in the conference... 1st 20% increase as year end, 2nd place 15%, 3rd 10%......6th place no increase, 7th place 5% cut, 8th place 10 % cut.

But the way it is done now is unrealistic and maddening .

140-129 win against Pony Express. Now that's the kind of high scoring game that fans can get excited about! The two highest scoring teams in the league... Is this a sign that the Great 8 is still the most dominant division? Maybe the all-star game can help answer those questions...

my experience is the all star games do not reflect true talent of each confernece. but we shall see!

EDIT-
last 4 all star games each conference has won 2 games. Big 8 has higher point differential. do I think Big 8 has had the better players for last 4 years. no.

If you go by salary or DMI then the Big 8 appears to have the stronger team this season. Doesn't mean they will win.

Shortest all star game ever?? The tallest starter on either side is 6'7" !

Anyone remember two seasons ago when Gerald Beck scored 73 points on 39 shots? Already this season he has had a 62 point game and several 40+ point outings.

I must confess, I have not done a deep dive into each teams salary and DMI (in season past long time ago I would have it in a spreadsheet with all kinds of data). At first blush Big 8 has some really good players, but not alot of depth as Great 8.
Bur which is more important? Salary or winning?

after four or five inter conference games have been played, I look at the number of losses in each confernece. Since Great 8 has 2 BOTS, lets just consider the top 6 teams in each conference.

Through 7 games the Big 8 has twelve more losses that the Great 8, about 1.7 more games won per week.

This is just statistics....and anyone can find stats to make their case, granted. So lets see how many teams win in the playoffs.

EDIT- end of interconference play.... now difference is up one to 13 (from 12)
