140-129 win against Pony Express. Now that's the kind of high scoring game that fans can get excited about! The two highest scoring teams in the league... Is this a sign that the Great 8 is still the most dominant division? Maybe the all-star game can help answer those questions...

my experience is the all star games do not reflect true talent of each confernece. but we shall see!

EDIT-
last 4 all star games each conference has won 2 games. Big 8 has higher point differential. do I think Big 8 has had the better players for last 4 years. no.

If you go by salary or DMI then the Big 8 appears to have the stronger team this season. Doesn't mean they will win.

Shortest all star game ever?? The tallest starter on either side is 6'7" !

Anyone remember two seasons ago when Gerald Beck scored 73 points on 39 shots? Already this season he has had a 62 point game and several 40+ point outings.

I must confess, I have not done a deep dive into each teams salary and DMI (in season past long time ago I would have it in a spreadsheet with all kinds of data). At first blush Big 8 has some really good players, but not alot of depth as Great 8.
Bur which is more important? Salary or winning?

after four or five inter conference games have been played, I look at the number of losses in each confernece. Since Great 8 has 2 BOTS, lets just consider the top 6 teams in each conference.

Through 7 games the Big 8 has twelve more losses that the Great 8, about 1.7 more games won per week.

This is just statistics....and anyone can find stats to make their case, granted. So lets see how many teams win in the playoffs.

EDIT- end of interconference play.... now difference is up one to 13 (from 12)

yes, fine line between going for win and training up another player to take his place. But I probably had him misplaced in lineup....

Balls of Steel can still make it to the playoffs.
We have will have played the 6th, 7th and 8th place teams as our last 3 opponents.
Petersburg will have played the 1, 2, and 3rd place team has their last 3 opponents.

so a Balls of Steel sweep and a petersburg bust and we are ahead by one game.

I will not know if I should sell my players or buy for the playoffs until too late.
