Its hard to maintain a 800 k salary here in Austria with a D1 team. And all of these well rounded players earn 200 k.

Hi guys. I know its about Box-and-one defenses but may I ask you about Iso offenses as well.
Let's say I have 3 guys with 20 Inside Scoring (and almost same other offensive skills) on my starting 5 and I play Inside Iso. Which one of those 3 will attack the most? The one with more favorable matchup or maybe they distribute their shots evenly? What I have noticed is that if there is one starter with the highest IS (lets say 19) and the next best Inside scorer has lets say 17, 16 Inside scoring, in most cases the best inside scorer takes over and gets most of the shots and points. But has anyone observed the situation I described above? Any ideas? And is it worth trying playing Inside Iso in that case or LI or LP could be better?

So i have tried the box and one defense. From what i read i thought the +1 defender is the best defender in team. I played crappy roster but 1 player. This player defended 9 shots out of 67 shots (58 when he was on court)! His collegues are OD8 ID7 while he is OD19 ID16.. Am i missing something?
thanks in advance

The opponent is not stupid, if you only have 1 good defender and the rest sucks, why would they shoot against your good defender? Your best defender probably defended their best attacker, and that attacker just passed to his teammates that are defended by bad players, and the teammates will shoot a lot.

The fact that your good defender only contest that many shots should mean that the main offensive threat of your opponent did not shot that much. And that should mean that the box actually worked and your defender denny their main force on offense.

I said should because I didnt have time to watch the game that you talk about, but in theory this is how It should work, at least from the knowledge that I have from this defense.

One way of showing the impact of box and one outside is against a team playing patient. Whichever position the patient is played.

A bit off topic but not that far... If you play a 2-3 zone but let's say with your PG and SF switching defensive matchup positions, will the SG and SF be on the top of the zone or does this not make any sense and it'd work like there is no defensive matchup switches?

Thanks!
