Coming back to inside vs outside, I also think that the game is well balanced but maybe there is still a little bit advantage playing inside. I think BBs can see everything from the headquarter, stats and other things that we don't know.
Good point, we all have our opinions but we don't have all the data the BBs have.
re: Inside vs Outside. I've been here long enough to have been both an inside and outside focused team for several seasons each. IMO, it's better to be an inside team in BB fora couple reasons:
1 - inside players are easier to train. they might have only a few good skills, or maybe only two in some cases (IS and Reb) and can be very effective. Also, inside scoring can be trained very quickly as one position training for center. Jump shot is two position training (which also requires you to have 4-5 trainees to do guards), and also they need at least some jump range. This is a huge difference between building in inside vs an outside scorer.
2 - Inside focused teams generate lots of fouls, drawing free throws and putting opponents in foul trouble.
Now, rather then making major adjustments to the GE, id rather see some realism added to the SF position. Taking a center and plopping them in at SF and playing look inside is completely detached from reality. I'd prefer to see the SF mature into closer to what you'd expect from the typical SF in real life. Then you can leave all the other minor advantages mentioned above and solve the issue this way.
