I think he said that about bids that were already finished. All bids in progress can be delayed if the Web doesn't work for some users.

Marin is continuously pushing back auctions for no reason which is completely unfair because he didn’t do a single thing when no one could bid and those player were sold under market value. He should of delayed the auctions when no one could bid and not when auctions are doing fine because some of us are waking up at weird times just to find out he delayed auction for who knows why. It’s not fair to pick and chose when to help.

We were having some very intense calculations that involve the players (aging, salary updates, etc...) so we postponed player transfers until they finished, extending the transfer times as needed in several steps, since they didn't finish during the expected times. They (the calculations and updates) are done now though so the auctions shouldn't be touched for the foreseeable future.

We do this because bidding during these updates often proves impossible. You'd know if you tried to fire a player today. Sometimes it worked, sometimes... not. This would be much worse with a much more common update - bidding. So, to prevent players going for low prices due to people not being able to bid - we postpone.

Just for info, offseason updates are definetly not over as far as we can see. 😉

Some of the updates are still running, but don't worry, they'll finish on time.

As for the shutdown suggestion, it was done like that at one point but it showed that there was no perceptible increase in calculations speed.

(37691399) This player's auction is bugged for me. I bought him for my utopia team. I also made a bid from my main team before. It stills shows on my main team's active bids after one hour. When I click the player link from my main team, it gives error because it tries to open the auction page, but the player is owned by my utopian team now. He is shown on my utopian roster, but there is still a sale sign.

Also, in economy page it shows that I bought him for 520k and I am also buying him again for 520k and also paying the tax.
