A couple of things I noticed in my scrimmage. (12705278)

1. Oddly low ratings on OD. I suspect that the 2-3 zone has something to do with it, but even so the change seems somewhat drastic.

2. The game was unusually high scoring. This seems to have had a lot to do with the low OD ratings.

I must say that I noted the exact same thing. Played with the best players and scored a significantly lower OD rating than the game before where i played with the same players (inept(low) compared to medium (med) and in the last case I was even playing 2-3). And also, as a result a very high scoring game! If the phoenix suns are the NBA benchmark than I must say the new engine works great:)

My game (12707315)
FT difference was massive, but I guess this happens from time to time especially then teams are not so even: 45 vs 9!
Regarding rebounding, I can live with it but just to mention ratings average (high) vs inept (medium) and number of rebounds accordingly 67 vs 58.

Another game that caught my attention in my league (12709186)
Maybe it's because of the end result (186-78) but there were used FCP against Push The B. Some interesting conclusions, especially number of TO's from both teams.

Something goes wrong with the OD, we are seeing teams with great defenders (11+) going for rates between 3-5, in my case i played 3-2 with great defenders in the PG/SG position (around 12) and 7-8 in the SF position and just got 5 (medium) in OD.

Edit to put the link of my match (12706382)

And the match that LA-Ebustelo posted is the best example, atl.estacion had in his lineup players with 12 and 13 in OD playing outside, one of them played a huge ammount of minutes and even with that he got just a 3 (high) in OD. (12703981)

The changes in the HCA are highly appreciated :D

Threre seems to be many anomalies in yesterday's scrimmages.
Look at this (12704423). 130 shot attemps and 37 OR (with 2 levels less in the reb ratings) seem to be too far too many.

I played with PG, SG and SF with 11, 10 and 10 in outside defence with a 3 - 2 zone and only got 5 of outside defence. My backups where 8, 11, 10.

I'm guessing the the engine tweaked the OD equation in order to gain more steals (a more guess oriented defense) which leads to more open shots... and possibly loosened it up to gain more assists.

However, that brought about strange results. I point to my PG who should be helped by the changes. However, because he is experienced and sensed a mismatch... he put up 17 shots and 6 three pointers in 31 minutes.

This PG had never in his entire career taken more than 13 shots in a game and... not since his first 2 games (when I played motion... I was playing Push the Ball yesterday) had he taken more than 3 three pointers. More importantly, this season he had never taken more than 2.

I can live with the higher number of turnovers, I can live with more assists (although I didn't see more assists... probably because I am shooting from 3 point land... 30 three pointers! That's 10 more than I had in my previous game... and probably 15-20 more than I usually get)... the rebounding doesn't seem so bad. But... If my PG who can't shoot starts putting up 17 shots a game every game...

With zone defence it's new and more realistic then same player tries for example inside shot two times in a row but againts different player.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, clearly although I didnt intend to lower the OD rating, somehow something we did seemed to have a dramatic effect so I will look into that and have it adjusted for next week. This is exactly why we released it in this manner so we can get it right before it goes on games that matter.

Also seems blocks were not as high as I thought they were... I will adjust that as well.

We are thinking about redoing the rebounding team rating to better reflect the new engine...and/or tweaking the new engine as it seems we haven't made everything clearer, in fact it seems to be more confusing to some people.

please keep leaving feedback, just wanted to let everyone know i am reading and listening to this.

My PG (2649655) seemed a bit trigger happy in the scrimmage game (12707970) He usually shot only at most 5 a game, yet his attempts got to about 17. And my 2-3 zone got me pitiful (high) in perimeter defense. Im also wondering why my Look Inside offense yield me 13 3-point attempts. I dont have good outside shooters yet my SF attempted 5 shots beyond the arc instead of going below the basket.
