I see BB-Marco is talking on Discord about increasing the pace of the game and that BB feels "like a 2008 game and that needs to be changed".

The fact that those conversations from BB-Marco are olny happening on Discord is a huge red flag as it ignores and minimizes those managers who don't use it.

To me that's a sign that the new owners only give a sh*t about certain users. And that is sad.

Probably there are a lot of things happening at once for him, so for this reason, Discord is a better place for quick answers.

I see no problem with that. In fact he could've hide yesterday and start working on BB, but decided to talk with all managers that were there, worried about BB's future.

Hi everyone!

Thank you for all the insights about this huge news regarding BB.

I can assure you that our intentions are NOT to transform BB in a pay-to-win game nor to change the soul of it.

We intend to modernize the game starting from code, UI, UX, etc since the current situation does not bring justice to the potential that this game has and what it could be.

Without those changes, slowly the game could lose users, become heavier as soon as the data grows, season after season, and become unmaintainable and not appealable to new potential users.

I understand some of you are scared but I assure you every major change we plan to make will be consulted with the community and also the veterans BB-Marin & BB-Justin.

Regarding the speed of the game we could even considering making two different servers (with different speeds) but this is yet to be decided.

As of now we are simply converting the codebase to modernize it and make it more maintainable for the future.
BB currently uses some technologies that as you know are more than 15 years old and this is becoming unstable and impossible to maintain and expand in the long run.

We are keen to have an open discussion with all the veterans who are here for lots of years; what we kidly ask from you is to have an open mind and be constrictive so that we can shape the game in the best way possible, together

I encourage you to continue the discussion also on Discord, sending feedback, suggestions & more.

Thank you very much again for supporting BB, see you here on the forums and on Discord!

It is a long journey that we have ahead but with the help of everyone I am confident that great results can be achieved

Best,
BB-Marco

I guess I will give it some time,; however, as a supporter since Season 7 I am extremely disappointed. If I wanted a video game, I would go to my PlayStation. I see virtually no way the key components of this game stay in tact given the stated reasons for the change. You have a good thing going here right now. Why blow that up?

Many people are saying that the website's design shouldn't be changed. As a new manager in this game, I must say that the current design is terrible for new players. It is outdated by 8-10 years, if not more. The design needs a modern overhaul! However, modern design should not focus on keeping players on the site to boost statistics, as has been the trend in recent years. Instead, it should prioritize user-friendliness and ease of interaction with the site. The mobile app is decent.
As for the game's mechanics, I find it hard to comment due to my limited experience. From my perspective, the situation with tactics is quite acceptable. Some tactics are superior, some less viable, and others are entirely obsolete. Ideally, the game's balance (tactics) should constantly evolve, but it's unclear if this would be beneficial or detrimental for a long-term game.
Accurate information on buildings is needed when constructing infrastructure. The information provided is too vague and lacks specificity. Players have to search through forums to understand what each building does for other players. It's not always clear if the information is correct or up-to-date. For example, did you know that arena skins provide not only visual appeal but also additional income? I didn’t know this, and it's not mentioned before purchasing or in the description. Investing just 200k will pay off in about three seasons and start generating extra income for the club. There is a skin for 4 million that will yield even more income in the future. Why should I learn about such important details from forums instead of before purchasing or constructing infrastructure? bubblebuzzer plays without an arena skin, suggesting he might not know about this either. In theory, this minimal purchase could help cover the negative income you’re experiencing. I'm not criticizing the game or anyone; the game looks genuinely interesting. I'm just trying to answer the question of veteran players, as a newbie, about why they see the same people repeatedly and why there are few new players.
If you’re an experienced player and interested in attracting new players to keep the game vibrant, use your free time and a bit of enthusiasm to create tutorial or other types of videos on YouTube. This will undoubtedly attract new players. It won’t bring in millions, but trust me, it will attract many new players. TikTok is also effective in attracting new players. If videos are too challenging, consider writing comprehensive guides for the game this will significantly help retain new players and assist them in getting started. The forum system is inefficient. I tried finding answers to my questions and spent two full days, from morning to night, reading the forum and watching videos by Bubbles BuzzerBeater and Carpe the DM to better understand the game. You know what? I only ended up with more questions. Perhaps some new players are also reading all the messages here, hoping to learn something new and understand the game better. The best resource I found here, though not a complete guide, is very helpful in understanding what and how to do: https://docs.google.com/document/d/16kvxJiABku7x4-JN1iI5KcCuMIA6Ur_OnH7CfndXgY0/mobilebasic

In conclusion:

A new, user-friendly design is needed
Further development of the app
Dynamic game balance
More precise information before building infrastructure and purchasing arena skins
For those interested, create more videos on YouTube/TikTok and write comprehensive guides

English is not my primary language. If I seemed too harsh, tactless, or overly critical, that was not my intention. I wrote all of this with a positive mindset. It’s just a language barrier and nothing more.

the new owner wont buy that game to be nice and friendly... now will all turn to pay to win and i dont know a game where this worked... you will have now a few crazy ones, who spent a lot of money into that game and the rest will say good bye... some faster some later... i play a lot of online games over the lasst 10-15 years and it was everywhere so, when the new owner only saw dollar bills in his eyes...

When me and a friend started Buzzerbeater a year ago I didn't understand anything about how the game worked and my friend left the game because it looked worse than other browser games.

The truth is that what they propose is reasonable and we would just have to open our minds.

I expect a lot from the new owners of the game who have a hard job ahead of them.
