Sorry to burst everyone's bubbles but this is a debate thread not the speech thread...read the rules!

First question to all candidates....how will you defend our world's titles? (Simple question, will ask harder questions when I actually know the other opponents)

Good question. I have a few ways of keeping us on top.
1. We are america and that in itself is good enough to keep us on top.
2. I will do extensive scouting of opponents and strategies and select the best possible strategies in order to defeat opponents.
3. I will select a very well trusted group of buzzerbeater individuals to help me with player scoutings, and will personally send out bb-mails to anyone that may have a national caliber player.
4. I will get to know all of the players and find out who does what job the best. Who defends the post the best, who defends the perimeter the best, who has the best jumpshot, who has the best rebounding.
5. I will alter the starting lineup each game in order to counter the other teams strengths. (ex. rebounding, inside game, outside game.)
6. I will create a suggestions thread and constantly post and respond to any suggestions, comments, or concerns provided by the american citizens that wish to get involved in this great nations buzzerbeater basketball team.

Questions:

1. I'm super frustrated with the "cabal" of managers that seem to run the NT/U21 and don't produce results. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Pretty sure Jesus said that. We haven't won a Worlds gold in hours now! What are your plans to dismantle the cabal?

2. Less importantly, the new U21 manager will inherit a group of 20 olds that they may not have been involved with in the training/development of. Have you looked at the pipeline for Season 31 and what are your thoughts and goals for that Worlds team? (Assuming we get thru Americas)

He's the only one we want doing it, unless God wants to go ahead and register for the election... or LeBron.

Well, your prayers have been answered. We didn't get God...but The LeBrons have registered.

It will be hard to replicate the success ebw had, but I will still do my best to see that happen! First step is to win a semifinal at the americas this season.

1) The offsite has been very important for our recent success. For those who followed the gameplanning for the gold medal game saw how important it is to hear multiple perspectives. This is a cabal with an open door. I hope every usa manager joins the offsite. There is room for everyone with an open mind ar the offsite. 3 worlds gold medal cant be wrong.

2) i have been involved with the development of the Season 31 worlds team on thr offsite. I also volunteered for scouting in Season 28 but others had wanted to do 18 years old so I was assigned a different age group. I also trained a player in the pipeline, Mick sterling, who, before I passed off to another usa owner last season, was one of the top guards skills wise that we were monitoring on the offsite.

I dont have access to the nt database so I can only comment on the guys posted in the pipeline thread, but I am a little concerned about that uncertainty which is a begin reason scouting was the first part of my platform. Im very anxious for the election to be over so I can begin to scout. I plan on doing most of the 20 year olds myself.

I am also planning on acquiring 2 bigs to train this week for the season 33 worlds team.

I have been working hard the past few seasons trying to train players for national teams, and I'm always on the lookout for USA 18 year olds. I have a lot of experience with big men, as you can see if you look at my current roster. All 4 of my current big men i have trained myself. I am currently in a rebuilding phase, so i can focus 100% on the U21 team.

To all candidates:

Our U21 has utilized a wide range of tactics, strategies, game styles, and plans over the last few seasons. More often than not to decent effect. However there is always room to improve, and more importantly, steal ideas. Have you noticed anything that other U21 programs have done in recent seasons that the US team might be wise to consider and appropriate?
