Hi Marco,

Firstly, I'd like to congratulate you on acquiring this game and a 13,000 strong player base along with it! Also really appreciate you putting yourself out here

The reason I, my friends and so many others on here love this game, and have played it for many years on end, is because of its realism, slow pace and the ability to have this game tricke along with our real life. It's an outlet, a break from reality for many of it. It is a particularly addictive game after you put in months, if not years of effort to be better than your competitors. It's unlike any other sports game in that sense, most of which people only play for a short while and forget.

I think, personally, a face-lift of the site would be particularly appreciated to attract new players, along with a series of video/interactive tutorials for new users. The biggest issue in this game isn't what it entails, but actually getting over the initial hurdle of understanding it. Once new users are able to grasp the complexity and gain some pointers on where to go next, with a bit of marketing this thing can really take off.

I also understand that you would want to make back the money on your investment, and of course, this is very reasonable. I just hope that this game does not become pay-to-win, or faster paced (perhaps a whole new game for that?), but rather, by providing even more cosmetic and customisable incentives to buy a supporter package could be a good way to go. Even including ads at half-time of the match-viewer could be a small revenue booster.

:) Once again, congratulations and thank you for reading all of our ideas. I look forward to the positive changes. All the best, Marco!

Thank you again for all the valuable feedback you guys brought to the table.

I deeply understand that the pace of the game is an essence and a unique and good value for a lot of you.
That is why if (and I am talking with the conditional here since we are not sure) plan to increase the speed of the game we will do it with a different server.
We may have two servers one with the current speed and another one faster where everyone starts from scratch.

The real problem of BB like some of you already highlighted is that for new users is very difficult to understand how this game works, all the mechanics etc. and the guides are not sufficient so you have to search deeply inside the forum or talk to other players to understand things and this is something which need to be changed to make it more appealing for everyone.

We need interactive tutorials & everything should be covered directly inside the game and not found by the users randomly.

We also need a modern UI. I know a lot of you are used to this kind of design but the UI/UX is not good for 2024, trust me.
Even the images of the UI are all low-res and not adapted to the modernization of monitors.
For new users, this is a barrier that we have to remove.

Without a new influx of users, slowly BB will lose its appeal and lose users, teams etc and those repercussions will be seen also by the old players.

On the infrastructure side, currently the BB code relies on legacy technologies that sincerely I do not know by what miracle are still working but it is a matter of time until everything collapses.
Also, it is not possible to acquire more users currently since the system is not that scalable.

We understand the heart & soul of BB that created an addiction for a lot of you and do not plan to change it.
We can do some experiments regarding the speed or other mechanics in another server, which you can decide to join or not.

At the moment we have not taken any definitive decision but rest assured that we are not mad or want to destroy the game and transform it into something completely different.

Thank you again for your understanding!

Best,
BB-Marco

Thank you for the reassures, the day that the new management was announced i was going to buy the yearly support, i stopped to see what was going on and after a few days i am going to purchase it anyway. You and your company look trustworthy and it seems you know what you are doing. I am a fairly new player (started season 61) and yes, i can confirm that this game need some better tutorials integrated in the game, i spent basically all the first season looking for guides and intstructions on the forum and outside (the youtube channel of EBW is very useful). For the pace of the game i'm happy to see that the idea is to keep this one and to try another type of pace on another server (maybe), even if i'm new i quiet adapted to this pace and i don't find it too long. Don't let the negative comments turn you down, keep the work going. Cheers

Personally, I don't think it's a good idea to have a fast and slow server until the player base is built up more. Some countries only have a handful of players as it is and making them choose between servers will mean going up against even less real players. I think you have to choose which route to go down and commit to it. I'm good either way.

I fully endorse all other changes though. Especially better tutorials and the need to update to 2024 standards both in code and visually.

Been on the game since 2012, so I'm an OG who's learned the ways of both training, the beauty of realizing a player's potential, and also competing at the top levels.

Definitely agree that changes should be made incrementally, but also I won't complain if Marco & Staff experiment with different tactics to spice this game up a bit--I too, used to see the days of BB of 40k+ users and I wouldn't mind seeing that come into fruition again one day. I think the game has a bevy of untapped potential on the market.

Different servers may criss-cross with the overall integrity of the game, however myself and a few others wouldn't mind seeing the proposals that could be had at hand.

All I advise is just not to put all eggs in one basket, focus on improving the game play and UI/UX code within the home central server first, that way a migration and maintenance can be successfully achieved in the future. Tutorials that could be linked via youtube/videos, more game manuals, player archetypes explained, all of these can be fruitful assets that a new manager could capitalize on. Many users including myself would've benefited from this and might've seen intensive competiton sooner if known of these elements. It is important to capture new clientele to keep the game growing. Let's see what we can cook up.

I think I was something like 55,000th in the World when I started here.

Since then the game has declined.

By most people's logic, that means I'm to blame.

Sorry everyone.

New faster server name should be "Super Buzzerbeater II Turbo", for a classic retro game vibe
