A Horrible End to an Outstanding Season
Posted on 4/2/2025
IQ went a franchise best 20-2 and easily made it to the finals where they faced the unbeaten Iron Dogs. IQ set iteslf up perfectly for the series by getting higher player ratings and what would have been a much higher enthusiasm level going into the final game. All was going according to plan until the 2nd quarter of Game 2 when, with an 11 point lead, league MVP Primoz Bizjak fell to an injury. The team fought heroicly but then their second best player, Matthew Roe fouled out in the 4th quarter. They finally surrended the lead with less than two minutes left in the game.
This put team owner Phosrik in a bind as all of his investments were geared towards winning the championship. Now he will have to find a way to keep the core intact for a final run.
Matthew Roe and Saul Calandra are projected to have monster seasons and reigning MVP Bizjak should continue his dominance.
