After a magnificent playoff run in season 22, which resulted into winning the division, Los Gansos has chosen to do a step back after one season playing in the 2nd division.
The franchise has chosen for this process due to the financial situations and the lack of experience. "A season ago we became champions of the III division, which came as a suprise for us", coach Peja said. "Now after playing one season in the II, we can conclude that we are not yet ready to make an impact in this division".
The teams strategy for the upcomming season 24, is to make as much as profit as possible by keeping the team salary as low as possible, and adapt the ticket price. Furtheremore, they want to invest a lot in the draft, so that they will have a great pick to start with in season 25.
Shocking news broke through the hart of the fans when they heard that their youth international, Tamir Hadad, will be sold in the upcomming weeks. " We have made this decision with a lot of doubt, however the staff and me came to the conclusion that it is for the players own interst to sell him. We wish him all the best he can have", coach Peja continued.
A small chear is that the fans dont have to be sad for a long time, as Xavier Taal is making magnificent progress throughout his first seasons as has been reported by one of the staff members.
Furtheremore a unknown source has approached reporters by telling that the franchise is considering a name change. Stay tuned for more news and if this rumour will be a fact.
