This reminds me of this post (321461.1), which talks about the difference between the number in the top right (next to the clock) and the number on the community page.

Yeah...and a thread recently closed. I was surprised by the number as I'm regularly watching it.

5 to 10 minutes after I posted that it dropped below 1000, another 5 min after that it dropped into the 800s.

Maybe it coincides with training updates and managers checking in on that?
