"Running an 8-man roster in our first season as a HG team has been less than ideal," Coach MrJ told reporters in a recent interview. "Without depth and options, training suffered at times and was amplified with a couple of injuries along the way," he explained. "However, this is just the beginning," he added. "Our first voyage into the world of all things Home Grown. We knew it would be a tough season, and it was."
"Our aging backcourt (the glue all season) consisting of the original trio of Dunn, Regis and Mikedis, did the heavy lifting this season offensively, and should be commended on their efforts."
When asked about how the training of Wembanyama's younger brother, PJ Hunter, and young forward, Livingstone, was going, Coach was quick to praise them. "Look, these kids are training well. We were late to the party getting them what they need; however, we have our new training center up and running now so we expect great things next season."
