It will make me more careful in Season 3.

This All star week really broke my routine in match preparing, I guess that's the main reason i forgot, but at the end of the day, it's my fault.

Thank you for your understanding Pihija. And this reply goes partly to MrJ (due to his earlier response), and partly also to you.

I understand your appeal and your reasons for your appeal MrJ, and it doesn't surprise me (given your previous preference on more lenient penalties). Having said that, I don't agree with your opinion on this matter, but rather agree with current HGL rules being enforced rightly here. Your opinion (among some others') has caused me to apply/introduce somewhat lighter penalty structure to HGL than originally intended, so your opinions are taken into account (even if they wouldn't have an immediate effect on some decision).

Opinions of 'proper' rules do and will always differ on these matters. However, as Pihija mentioned, rules are rules.

It also says in the rules: "If you will, for any reason during season dress 0-2 players to the match lineup/roster, it will cause at the very least Level 3 penalty (ineligibility for playoff play for the current season)."

Everyone has been informed of rules, and if they haven't read them through, then what can I even say (this, I believe hasn't been the case here though, nor has it been intentional, he stated). Yes, Pihija will get 0 points from the match due to forfeit (instead of 1 from loss), but that's the whole idea of using this point based league table instead of win-% based table - forfeit losses need to have an adequate (read: strong) effect in order to be effective.

I think this sort of situation (no players or less than 3 players in the lineup) couldn't even exist if one would set up "a default roster" for their team, am I not right?
That has also been mentioned in the info/rules posts, that 'please set a default roster for your team' to prevent such situations, and that 'please set up your lineups on time' .

We all know it's very easy to set up even all HGL Regular Season matches in one go after matches are organized, and there's an easy solution to that - select "use lineup from match X" and do that with all HGL matches and you're good to go for whole regular season unless you fire/sell players on the starting lineup. (Again, saying this aspect of it is not done with the intention of blaming you more Pihija, but I write in this tone partly due to replying to MrJ here simultaneously).

And if anyone, especially Pihija and MrJ, would feel any better, I would enforce this same penalty to myself or any other manager that breaks the rules, so rules are equal to all. Pihija has been very cordial and co-operative manager, and that makes it even more "dull" to enforce this kind of penalty, but again, decisions on when to enforce penalties and when not can't be made on that basis if goal is to be equal and fair to all. (Same could've been said from T-Lit, manager of Buckner Bandits, but unfortunately I had to make decision during Season 1 to exclude his team due to lack of communication during critical stage of the season - again, absolutely nothing personal in it). But if rules are in place, rules need to be enforced. Yes, sometimes you can use judgement, and in many complicated situations that could be needed, but I find it important to be fair and equal to all when enforcing penalties.

And again, this came almost at the worst possible time of the Season , so I don't enjoy this any more either, as it causes just extra hassle (as I happen to have somewhat hectic time in RL now). But again I thank you Pihija for very understanding and mature reaction to this situation. As you "requested", I will show no mercy on this exact decision, but you are of course welcome to play on Season 3 and on Monday's Round 15.

While I am 2 seasons away from potentially making finals in the HGL, I look forward to how these finals progress.

Yes, your HGL Finals-appearance is getting closer and closer from season to season.
However, before that I might have one task for you, should you be willing to help in some concrete organizing projects.
If you're not available/up for it, then I'll ask from next manager.

It's about league schedule. Hårdboll hasn't yet decided his willingness to participate to Season 3, even though that has been asked multiple times, and it's decision time so I'll send him another BBMail today.

If HB wants to continue on Season 3, and as I understood based on this message (here: (327516.153)) Vilniaus „Vilkai“ would be willing to start in HGL on Season 3, we would then need another league schedule. Of course if HB decides to step out of HGL, then we could reuse the schedule from this season.

Do you still use that program/website that automatically creates league schedules (that you used for creating Season 1 schedule), and would you be willing to help if needed?

No worries. As long as I have all the names I can easily generate another schedule. It's easy and quick, so you can leave it a bit longer if you need to.
