Wel, it seems we will be kicking off the very first Home Grown Kings PL with 10 teams! These 10 teams are made up of 7 first teams and 3 Utopian 2nd teams. The world rankings range from a team in 10,000s to a team in the top 1000!

For those teams who had expressed a desire to play, and have been recorded at the front of this thread, you will be receiving your invitation soon! Please accept as soon as possible.

Providing all teams are locked in and ready, we will launch the Home Grown Kings in Week 2 of Season 69
This will allow us to wrap up the entire first season with the regular season time-frame.

Invites have gone out...and accepted...

...just waiting on the 10th and final team; they will be ready for the start of the Home Grown Kings 1st season...

Games are almost set to begin!

You will absolutely be considered. It's a shame you didn't let us know just a little sooner. However, I will add you to the list and you will be playing in Season 70 if you are still willing?

...we are days away from hitting the button and launching the first ever HGK Private League Competition!

This coming Sunday night, the 13th July 2025, I will initiate the HGK!

This means that the very first HGK games will start next week! Good luck.

The first ever season of the Home Grown Kings (HGK) has begun!!!

HGK Season 1 / Round 1

Well, the opening round of matches were played yesterday, and there were some interesting results. 5th seed, the Bamberg Gladiators begin the season atop of the ladder with an 81-point thrashing of 10th seed, the Westopian Tigers. This was an absolute mauling with the Tigers scoring double-digits in only one quarter! Game: (136209841)

The upset of the round was Vindicta's 92-84 away win over the SPB Eagles, with Vindicta's roster depth proving the difference in this encounter. Game: (136209838)

Top seeds Santa Eufemia Ducks (#1) and the Flower of Scotland (#2) met in the opening round, and it was the top seed Santa Eufemia Ducks who prevailed with a 98-76 win at home. Clearly, HCA will play a role as teams play 18 games across this lengthy season. Game: (136209837)

Most games seemed pretty well decided by the 3rd quarter except for Les Gueux du Marais's 23-point 4th quarter turn-a-round to register a strong away win against the Heywood Lions. Game: (136209840)

The 5th and final match played saw the true benefits of the home-and-away format this seas0n with the 9th seed, Swan River Serpents get within 20 points of the 3rd seed, WiMaOlCa. In fact, the Swan River Serpents held a 2-point lead at half time before WiMaOlCa won the second half 48-26. Game: (136209839)
