It is not the first time this has happened to me. What you are telling me is NOT the truth. What I want is a LOGICAL reason to clarify it because the system, my dear friend, is fallible.

Lineup submissions must be completed and received by the server more than 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start of the game (since that's when the game actually starts simulating).

In addition, you cannot submit more than 2 positions with a blank starter or the coach will completely disregard your set lineup and build a lineup out of the players you have active for the game.

If neither of those occurred in this case then you may need to wait for a response from a BB.


I truly appreciate the intention behind your response. Of course, I have taken into account all the eventualities you mentioned.

It's just that, for some reason, the system hasn't received the lineup I sent. And unfortunately for me, this hasn't been the first, second, or even third time it has happened.

I have had this happen to me a couple times over the last 15 years. It wasn't my mistake, but a BB bug. Thankfully, it hasn't happened often enough to concern me. To those who believe it a manager error...believe it or not...the GE does have this error occassionally.

Bring back the Fishbowl!

In my case, was a different previously persisted lineup. I had already modified it at the time, so this was another modification on top of that one, a couple of days later.

I hope that there is any kind of log of those actions

Two different ORDER BY clauses in those points feels like the source of this bug

OMG, i thought i have bad memory, same thing has been happening to me, i definetly changed linup because im training 4-6 players and next day i find that the lineup has reverted to original

It's not always a human error, this happens too often and there's an explanation from a database mechanics POV on how this can happen (in principle). However, we are still not sure what triggers it in our case. Can you remember the exact time and date when you submitted the new lineup which was then undone? We only have logs of the first two submits on 2025-01-28 15:55:15.940 and 2025-01-28 16:09:21.220 (server time, so Eastern US time).

@Everyone: For future reference, in order for us to be able to investigate this properly, please record the exact time of the submitted lineup that gets "erased" from database. I'm always suspicious of these having something to do with the economy updates on Sundays and Mondays, but I may be completely wrong.

I remember it was the same day as the signing of the new player, that is, the same day as the match, Thursday 30/01/25. I couldn't tell you the exact time with certainty, but it would have been around midday local time. In fact, there should be at least two more records.

In this regard, I have created this suggestion, at least to rule out human error when submitting lineups (and other events related to form submissions): (326472.1)
