Would it be enough training for guards? I had a similar idea for my main team, but honestly, I don’t think I have the patience to ignore games and just wait it out... at least not in this game

Not sure. Traditionally, I would have trained guards from 18 to 25 years old. Now these 19 yo are starting with decent TSPs. My PG, Donoghue (on Ireland U21 NT) and SF Huysegoms (future U21 NT maybe) both had decent starting skill sets which make it easier. My plan to train them until the end of season 70 means they will be 23 and 22 respectively to start Season 71 when I switch to bigs. So, training perfectly, using the elastic effect to maximum value, becomes necessary. To be honest, now that I have switched to being a HG team, I am training 2-position when I would rather be training 1-position. Time will tell how this goes.

This is my 3rd time playing BB and I plan to make it my 'forever' plan.

So do you only choose training types that target two positions (like 1v1 or JS), or do you also go for single-position ones like Pressure but run them in two slots to cover more players?
If you ever decide to put together a summary of how this experiment goes - let me know)

Yeah, sorry, I wasn't very clear. If i train 18 yr old I would only ever train say OD single-position 1 player in a game. Now, while trying to build a roster from scratch, I am 2-position training everything (1v1 and OD etc) to maximise the number of players trained. Having training infrastructure and Level6/7 trainer, and youth trainer, has been more important than previously.

In a few seasons' time, when my team is at a reasonable level (probably when I move up to Div III) I will only 2-position train those skills you would usually train (JS, 1V1, Reb etc) and 1-position train OD, P, IS, ID etc. Hope this makes more sense?

So, essentially, I am training maximum number of players possible at the moment while still trying hard to focus on my U21 NT player and future players. So far, they have trained well.

Time will tell whether this was right or whether I should have stick with the training plans I would normally follow: focus on 2 x 18yo studs plus a third.
