Hello 👋
That's a great work with this draftees rating, thanks for sharing.
Is your strategy to only use players you drafted?

Hey mate.

Yes, I am a Home Grown (HG) team now. After playing BB since Season, I am loving this new and exciting challenge!

No more buying players to promote. No more buying players when they are injured. Now, I have to train every one of my players I draft and try and reach Division 1. Now, that's a challenge.

Your team is still looking strong. Are going to go for it this season and promote?

When you arrived down here in Season 67, I thought you would bounce straight back up to Div III. But you have faced a couple strong teams in the finals. You were close last season.

Maybe this is your season?

oh, I didn't know about HG term)
That's quite a challenge you are going after. From what I understood from season 66 (when I was in III) there is a big differences between divisions and it's hard to train all 5 positions.
As for me - yes, I will try to promote, though I’m not sure I’ll succeed. I will probably need to buy some players.
It's getting harder to make any money with salary increases. So either I promote now, or I’ll have to sell a couple of players next season.

Yeah. I have a lot of training experience so that is the part I am enjoying most. As for training all 5 positions, that's simple enough over time through bigs and smalls rotations. I am currently training Guards, for example (with an SF in there too) and will draft bigs in seaosn 70 and switch to big training while giving my guards some big skills too.

Lots of fun, but challenging...and rewarding.

Well, if you go for it...good luck. A couple of tough teams in our league to get past.

Would it be enough training for guards? I had a similar idea for my main team, but honestly, I don’t think I have the patience to ignore games and just wait it out... at least not in this game

Not sure. Traditionally, I would have trained guards from 18 to 25 years old. Now these 19 yo are starting with decent TSPs. My PG, Donoghue (on Ireland U21 NT) and SF Huysegoms (future U21 NT maybe) both had decent starting skill sets which make it easier. My plan to train them until the end of season 70 means they will be 23 and 22 respectively to start Season 71 when I switch to bigs. So, training perfectly, using the elastic effect to maximum value, becomes necessary. To be honest, now that I have switched to being a HG team, I am training 2-position when I would rather be training 1-position. Time will tell how this goes.

This is my 3rd time playing BB and I plan to make it my 'forever' plan.

So do you only choose training types that target two positions (like 1v1 or JS), or do you also go for single-position ones like Pressure but run them in two slots to cover more players?
If you ever decide to put together a summary of how this experiment goes - let me know)

Yeah, sorry, I wasn't very clear. If i train 18 yr old I would only ever train say OD single-position 1 player in a game. Now, while trying to build a roster from scratch, I am 2-position training everything (1v1 and OD etc) to maximise the number of players trained. Having training infrastructure and Level6/7 trainer, and youth trainer, has been more important than previously.

In a few seasons' time, when my team is at a reasonable level (probably when I move up to Div III) I will only 2-position train those skills you would usually train (JS, 1V1, Reb etc) and 1-position train OD, P, IS, ID etc. Hope this makes more sense?

So, essentially, I am training maximum number of players possible at the moment while still trying hard to focus on my U21 NT player and future players. So far, they have trained well.

Time will tell whether this was right or whether I should have stick with the training plans I would normally follow: focus on 2 x 18yo studs plus a third.
