Jests Win in Front of Packed House

The Mecca was filled to capacity Tuesday night as the Jests took on the first place Purdue Boilers. The line of fans looking to buy tickets at the gate numbered well into the tens as the registers were closed.

At first the mood was euphoric. The fans were eager to cheer on their beloved Jests as they attempted to extend their one game win streak. However, when news of the sell-out trickled through the short line, chaos began to ensue and the mob mentality began to take over. One trash can was knocked over and at least two hot dogs were found laying smashed on the ground.

Inside the arena, safe from the dangers raging outside, the first of the Jests three game home series tipped off. The good guys rode a simple look inside strategy, pounding the backdoor of the Boilers and slamming the balls right down their throats.

The Boilers used an unconventionally aggressive strategy, roughing the home team up for 22 personal fouls. Clearly, they might need to go back to the drawing board.

Clemens Petty, Gunnar Berg, Darren Zoetebier and Rex Perez led the way with 91 of the 100 points and 43 of the 57 rebounds.

Next up the Jests take on the Green Flash.
