Recent Acquisition Stars In The Lebrons Win

The Lebrons got off to an excellent start last night, as they won their first game, 90-61. The point differential of 29 points, was enough to put the Lebrons in second place, behind East City. The Lebrons were winning by 17 at half, which they increased to 26 by the end of the third quarter. The Lebrons ended up putting their backups in "garbage time" and watched them, along with the starting center, add to the Lead. The Lebrons are not very happy with their lack of depth on this team, but they managed to take the lead, and rest their starters a little bit. Last night was The Lebrons' third game in a row. A scrimmage against Can You Hear It on Thursday, a private league game against Los Titanes Catalanes on Friday, and the league game against The Denver Cougars last night, Saturday. Now The Lebrons will rest up, and prepare for their next league game on Tuesday, against the Hooders.

Now onto the leading performers from last night's matchup. Javier Lagos Mellado ( does this guy ever stop?) led the scoring for both teams with 33 points. This was the second highest in the League. Along with his 33 points, Javier managed to grab 27 rebounds, making him the League leader in rebounding. Ron Yates had 10 points and 12 rebounds, marking his third double-double in a row. Gürbüz Duruhan had 14 points, 3 assists and no turnovers while playing lights out defense. This was enough for a player rating of 13.5, which is the highest in the league. Francisco Jesús Parrado's 12 points made him the third highest scorer for The Lebrons, however that was overshadowed by his 4 turnovers. 6th man Garifallos Vourousis had 5 assists and 9 points, leaving him tied for 9th place in the league in assists. Right alongside Garifallos is Andoni Jugón, with 8 points and 5 assists, also tied for ninth in assists.

East City managed to crush the opposition, winning by 70 points! The Lebrons certainly have their work cut out for them. Leading Scorers in the league include Bruno Léglise of Ginger Express with 34 ppg, Javier Lagos Mellado from The Lebrons with 33 ppg, and Ivan Jakubášek from Chicago Lightning with 32 ppg. Leading rebounders include Javier Lagos Mellado from The Lebrons with 27 rpg, Dominick Crain from OKC THUNDERZZZ, with 21 rpg, and Vojtêch Velek from The Blur with 20 rpg. Assists Leaders include Dimitrakis Chatzaras from Zephyers with 12 apg, Quinn Alexander from The Duvals with 11 apg, and Russel Campos from East City with 9 apg. Also a little fun fact for Lebrons fans, Ron Yates is leading the League in blocks with 5 bpg, followed by Ian Mcwhorter from Chicago Lightning with 4 bpg, and 6 other players with 3 bpg.
