For the first time in Division 4, The Lebrons are in the top 4 teams of their conference. After watching East City fall to Chicago Lightning, The Lebrons had motivation in hopes of getting to first place. However The Lebrons overlooked OKC Thunderzzz who beat Iowa State by 48 points, enough to give them a higher point differential, claiming first place. So The Lebrons will stay in 2 place, but hopefully not for long. They are currently in a three way tie with OKC Thunderzzz and Chicago lightning with identical records of 2-0. The Lebrons have a point differential of 40, a little higher than 33 for Chicago lightning, and quite a bit behind of 60 points for OKC Thunderzzz.
This Game it was all about Ron Yates. He dominated the boards, and was a monster on offense, scoring 20 points and 20 rebounds in 45 minutes of play. His 20 points were the third highest for The Lebrons, only shy of Gürbüz Duruhan's 27, and Francisco Jesus Parrado's 22. Javier Lagos Mellado had a decent game, racking up 15 rebounds to keep himself tied for first as a leading rebounder. His 17 points dropped him down the list a bit, but he is still a top ten leading scorer. Andoni Jugón has been having trouble with his fouls, and it may be the reason for his 5.5 rating. However Andoni was 2-2 from downtown, adding two FGs and a free throw to give him 11 points.
The Lebrons are beginning to realize their lack of depth, but also the in capability of Andoni Jugón to play in a 2-3 defense without fouling. Management is hard at work trying to fix these problems, but it may take weeks. They have fired two of their draftees and sold the third. This leaves them with their starters and two backups. On backup center and one backup guard. This will result in a negative impact on The Lebrons game shape unless they act quickly.
