Canada Set To Face Off Against Slovenia In Knockout Round

Despite it being the first season in Canada's history that the team had failed to reach at least the repechage, this season has been a fairly positive and eventful one. Canada finished up the round robin portion of the consolation tournament with a solid 6-2 record while compiling wins against some stiff competition. Canada, a team ranked 34th at the start of the season was victorious against teams that include Portugal (8th ranked), Nigeria (11th), Russia (15th) and the Czech Republic (32nd).

Canada now heads into the knockout stage of the tournament ready to take on the 43rd ranked Slovenia team. It should be a good game with both teams fighting to stay alive.
