Sobell Sale a Disappointment

Delta 9 management was red in the face today as they answered questions following the sale of PG prospect Herbert Solbell:
"We're shocked. I can't believe it. Sobell was a well-rounded young PG with All-Star potential. He was solid in every way - we only let him go because it was the logical move to make after signing a veteran SG. [Puts head in hands, looks down] Aye ... Yie ... Yie ... He was worth $400,000 or my Dad's name was Tonya. We probably won't be trying any more sales on Christmas Day."

It was a dour mood indeed. Team Executives tried to be courteous and upbeat, but their "Merry Christmas" utterances rang hollow.

Nicolas Tascner was sold earlier this season (for a price that did not ruin management's day). It was only a year (or two?) ago that Tascner and Sobell were purchased with the plan of developing them into a dynamic, big-minute PG duo. Recent arrivals Lirtsoyannis (has anybody learned how to spell it yet?) and Droste have taken their places.
