The ball club's mailboxes, P.O. box and digital, were flooded by a huge influx of mails from numerous Beermen fanatics. Shocked by the management's decision of ousting its two key players, Herman Botnen and Ben Brochian, most fans were asking the management through their mails about the future of their beloved team. Herman and Ben were instrumental in bringing the Beermen to the "League of Death."
The management issued a statement directed to the worried fans, to wit:
"We're sad to see those boys go. But to keep the franchise running, we have to make this hard decision of unloading key players, turned out to be Herman and Ben. So, why did we came up to this? Yes, financial constraint. Over the past two seasons, we've contacted few congressmen and senators to lighten up our looming financial problem which they gracefully accepted. As to why we still have this problem, I don't know (the club didn't received any amount).
We, the management of Red Horse Beermen, wish to stop the fans from creating negative speculations and to discourage spreading false accusations through social media networks. Instead we encourage our fans, win or lose, to continue buying tickets and merchandise. It will help us to form a new competitive team.
Lastly, we don't talk about considering relegation at the moment. For now, let us just hope that the current set of players will let us enjoy another season or two in this League."
With Herman and Ben ousted, the Beermen will rely solely on Johnas Dispo. For this very reason, Dispo is beefing up his scoring capabilities. As to what extent his training is, he sent out a message to all his opponents, "Somebody gonna get hurt real bad!"
He is a member of the Pilipinas NT for quite some time now but is yet to make a remarkable contribution for the NT.
