Another Convincing Win For The Beermen

The Beermen won yet another convincing win over the 8th seed South Antipolo Spurs of the Big 8 Conference via a 112-76 blowout.

Herman Botnen was chosen as the best player of the game awed the crowd with his amazing display of talent resulting to a 22 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds and a whopping 3 blocks. He came up strong early in the game scoring 12 of his total points in the first quarter. After contributing on offense on the first half of the game, Herman Botnen showed that he can also play defense as he put up a good match against the back court of the Spurs by contesting open shots and swatting 3 of them.

On the other hand, Ben Brochian shot 81% from the field led all scorers with 23 points. He pulled 12 rebounds along with a steal, a block and an assist. "I can't believe i shot the ball well. Just saw a pass coming, all I have to do is to lay it in." Brochian told the press. Coach Huck Finn was very happy that his players did what they are told to, he even described their offense as a well-oiled machine. The Beermen led the assists department 29-21.

Johnas Dispo again played an all-around game scoring 13 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and a blocked shot in 25 minutes of play. The reporters asked him about his playing time which he answered immediately, "I'm happy with the minutes I'm playing for the team right now. Coach Huck Finn always remind me the importance of game shape. It reminds me of the U21 championship game against the powerhouse China last season. I wasn't able to start the game because of bad game shape. Going back to the question, it doesn't matter to me if I will be sidelined for a full quarter. After all, we're winning big. Coach knows what's best."
