The Beermen Wins In Overtime

The score was tied when the final buzzer of the regulation sounded and both teams were forced to play for another 5 minutes to decide the outcome of the game which the Beermen eventually emerge as the winner.

Ninuno Gods had the upper hand in the last 73 seconds of the regulation 84-88 via a three pointer from Antoni Gemza. The Dispo-led Beermen refused to back down and scored every possession since the 84-88 mark. A quick jumper form Johnas Dispo and the clutch free throws of Ben Brochian tied the game 90 apiece. The Ninuno Gods had one last chance to win but missed the game winning buzzer beater shot.

A Ninuno Gods turnover opened the extra period which the Beermen cheerfully answered with a monstrous jam courtesy of the Johnas Dispo - Herman Botnen connection. Rihards Evelonis of the Ninuno Gods committed his last foul of a driving lay-up by Johnas Dispo. The Beermen took this opportunity to outrun the exhausted Ninuno Gods thus limited to only 6 points in the overtime.

"We've practiced hard and it paid off. We felt they were exhausted and we took advantage of it." Johnas Dispo said bragging a double-double performance off a 45 points and 14 rebounds. When asked about the upcoming All-Star game, "I'm very grateful to all the fans who included me and my teammates in their list of players they want to see in the All-Star game. We promise it will gonna be a good one." he humbly replied.
